Japanese gamers can finally stop holding their collective breath, as Microsoft has <em>finally</em> <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/941/941370p1.html">announced</a> a release date for the limited edition wireless red controller in the Land of the Rising Sun. More specifically, the company has announced that the red controller will only be sold as part of a bundle with the Play &#38; Charge kit. How is this different from the <a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/07/16/e308-up-close-and-personal-new-red-and-green-controllers/">same bundle</a> that has been available in North America since last year? We suppose the biggest difference is that you can only buy one with yen, &#165;6,279, specifically. The bundle will be available in Japan beginning on March 5.<p style="both;"><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com"><img src="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Xbox 360 Fanboy" style="0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2009/01/05/look-out-japan-red-xbox-360-controllers-coming-soon/">Look out Japan! Happy New Year, fanboys, and happy first Xbox 360 Fancast of the year 2009. We thought we'd start off the new year by catching up on some fanmail, so that's exactly what we did. Yup, this show is nothing but fanmail. Gasp, as we discover that Canada does in fact have 1-2 flush toilets. Thrill, as we discuss hackneyed gaming conventions. Become confused as we discuss the mysterious pleasure of creating spreadsheets. It's all in this week's episode. Download ... and <em>discover</em>.<br /><br />[<a href="http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=214166142">iTunes</a>] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in iTunes (MP3).<br />[<a href="http://social.zune.net/external/LaunchClient.aspx?mtype=Podcast&#38;mid=4959b661-72cc-4d45-8b7f-9a3fe304c6d3">Zune</a>] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in Zune Marketplace (MP3).<br />[<a href="http://podcasts.xbox360fanboy.com/rss.xml">RSS MP3</a>] Add the Xbox 360 Fanboy Podcast feed (in MP3) to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.<br />[<a href="http://xbox360fanboy.com/podcasts/360fancast-098-1509.m4a">AAC</a>] Download the enhanced AAC directly.<br />[<a href="http://xbox360fanboy.com/podcasts/360fancast-098-1509.mp3">MP3</a>] Download the MP3 directly.<strong><br /><br /></strong><strong>Hosts:</strong> Richard Mitchell (<a href="http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp=0&#38;GamerTag=SenseiRAM">SenseiRAM</a>), Dustin Burg (<a href="http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp=0&#38;GamerTag=SuperDunners">SuperDunners</a>), Alexander Sliwinski (<a href="http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp=0&#38;GamerTag=Sli+Xander">Sli Xander</a>)<br /><br />Produced by Richard Mitchell<br /><br /><strong>Music:</strong> Intro/Outro: "Electromooq" by <a href="http://www.podsafeaudio.com/jamroom/bands/7/index.php">Uma Floresta</a>, "She Won't Look at Me" by <a href="http://music.podshow.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash=d44aefcd7767e00690c17eccf75a2aa5">The Simple Carnival</a>.<br /><br /><span style="bold;">For fans: </span><a href="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=13788958061">Xbox 360 Fancast Facebook group</a><p style="both;"><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com"><img src="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Xbox 360 Fanboy" style="0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2009/01/05/xbox-360-fancast-098-new-years-fanmail/">Xbox 360 Fancast 098 -- New Year's Fanmail</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com">Xbox 360 Fanboy</a> on Mon, 05 Jan 2009 18:00:00 EST. <div align="left">Chatting with <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=21732">Gamasutra</a>, Treasure CEO Masato Maegawa revealed that Microsoft has been trying to win over their hearts, gifting them chocolates and giving massages all in an effort to bring the Saturn's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiant_Silvergun"><em>Radiant Silvergun</em></a> to the Xbox Live Arcade. <br />Though, Maegawa makes it clear that even though Microsoft wants a remake that he and Treasure have yet to decide if they want to bring <em>Radiant Silvergun</em> love to the XBLA. Why wouldn't they? Well, Maegawa says that it'd take a lot of dev time to make it work on the 360 and he admits that "it's certainly aged in assorted ways, and I'm not sure they're all good." If you've yet to explore the not quite barren wastelands of <em>Fallout 3</em>, today might just be the day to get started. Amazon is currently offering the collector's edition of <em>Fallout 3</em> for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Collectors-Xbox-360/dp/B0016BTNTQ/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&#38;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#38;s=videogames&#38;pf_rd_p=466633951&#38;pf_rd_s=center-2&#38;pf_rd_t=1401&#38;pf_rd_i=1000208101&#38;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#38;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">$49.98</a>, just over $30 less than the retail price of $79.99. Lest you've forgotten, the collector's edition comes with a Vault Boy bobblehead, a 100 page art book, a making-of DVD and a sweet metal lunchbox (It also includes the <em>game</em>, which is important). If that sounds just a bit too paltry for your expensive taste, Amazon is also offering its exclusive Survival Edition for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-Amazon-com-Exclusive-Survival-Xbox-360/dp/B0017QL8XE/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_2_ttl?ie=UTF8&#38;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#38;s=videogames&#38;pf_rd_p=466633951&#38;pf_rd_s=center-2&#38;pf_rd_t=1401&#38;pf_rd_i=1000208101&#38;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#38;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">$109.98</a>, a $20.01 savings over the regular price. If you've yet to explore the not quite barren wastelands of <em>Fallout 3</em>, today might just be the day to get started. Amazon is currently offering the collector's edition of <em>Fallout 3</em> for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Collectors-Xbox-360/dp/B0016BTNTQ/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&amp;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;s=videogames&amp;pf_rd_p=466633951&amp;pf_rd_s=center-2&amp;pf_rd_t=1401&amp;pf_rd_i=1000208101&amp;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">$49.98</a>, just over $30 less than the retail price of $79.99. Lest you've forgotten, the collector's edition comes with a Vault Boy bobblehead, a 100 page art book, a making-of DVD and a sweet metal lunchbox (It also includes the <em>game</em>, which is important). If that sounds just a bit too paltry for your expensive taste, Amazon is also offering its exclusive Survival Edition for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-Amazon-com-Exclusive-Survival-Xbox-360/dp/B0017QL8XE/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_2_ttl?ie=UTF8&amp;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;s=videogames&amp;pf_rd_p=466633951&amp;pf_rd_s=center-2&amp;pf_rd_t=1401&amp;pf_rd_i=1000208101&amp;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">$109.98</a>, a $20.01 savings over the regular price. The Survival Edition includes all the extras of the collector's edition, with the addition of a replica Pip-Boy digital clock.<br /><br />Like we said, if you've been waiting to get <em>Fallout 3</em>, nabbing the collector's edition for less than the standard edition is a pretty sweet deal.<br /><br />[Thanks, Alex]<br /><br /><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Collectors-Xbox-360/dp/B0016BTNTQ/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&amp;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;s=videogames&amp;pf_rd_p=466633951&amp;pf_rd_s=center-2&amp;pf_rd_t=1401&amp;pf_rd_i=1000208101&amp;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">Source</a> - Amazon.com -- Fallout 3<em> </em>Collector's Edition<br /><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-Amazon-com-Exclusive-Survival-Xbox-360/dp/B0017QL8XE/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_2_ttl?ie=UTF8&amp;m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;s=videogames&amp;pf_rd_p=466633951&amp;pf_rd_s=center-2&amp;pf_rd_t=1401&amp;pf_rd_i=1000208101&amp;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_r=0R7ENYPNKKWS9ZPZ2KN8">Source</a> - Amazon.com -- Fallout 3 Survival Edition<p ><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com"><img src="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Xbox 360 Fanboy" /></a><a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2009/01/05/fallout-3-collectors-edition-for-50-at-amazon-today/">Fallout 3 Collector's Edition for $50 at Amazon today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com">Xbox 360 Fanboy</a> on Mon, 05 Jan 2009 13:45:00 EST.
